    What's the Story with Protein?

One way or another, you must have protein in your diet. The RDA (Recommended Daily Allowance) for protein is 0.36 grams of protein per pound of body weight. Based on this standard, a 75-pound child needs 27 grams of protein per day.

The diet a person follows for the next fifty years is probably the most significant factor in the overall health you will experience for the rest of life. Your daily nutritional deficiencies or lifestyle excesses are a pretty good predictor of where your health will be in a few years.

Low carb. Slow carb. No carb. Whole carb. Everybody’s talking about carbs. It all sounds good, but who’s right, and just what are they all talking about, anyway?

Parenting has been called “the highest yoga”, and for good reason. Where else do you have the challenge and opportunity to be your most mindful at each moment? Where your every communication has the potential to create conflict or upliftment? Children respond either consciously or unconsciously to the vibratory energy of each moment. Much of the time, we adults have lost our sensitivity to the energy that vibrates between us all. Children can make us painfully aware of our gaps in awareness.

Breastfeeding is one of the joys of motherhood, and a great gift to give to a child. Sometimes, though, Mom just can’t quite create enough milk to meet the needs. That’s where fenugreek can help.
